It’s been a bit since I’ve shared about Nadine West, a personal stylist subscription service. Most of that is due to the fact that I cancelled my subscription service for a time. Life was getting too busy, and I was having a hard time trying on the clothes and getting them returned in time. So, I decided to take a break. But now I’ve decided to activate my subscription again for a time and see what they can come up with for me! This review is back from months 5 and 6 that I never got around to sharing about. Nadine West Review Month 5

I’m just going to give you a quick overview of my last 2 packages, not as in depth as my other reviews. This 5th delivery I would say is my favorite that I have received to far. So, props to my stylist for months 4 and 5. This package was FULL of items. I received one dress, a skirt, 2 shirts, a pair of shorts, and a necklace. This is the type of delivery I’d like to see every time.

Here’s a breakdown of my thoughts on this shipment:

• I loved the material of the gray dress, but I’m not a huge fan of the shark bite style or the style of the straps. I would have felt like I needed to wear a sweater with it all the time.
• The second I pulled out the pink floral pencil skirt I was in love, and it fit like a glove.
• The gray and maroon shirt was a great shirt, just not something I was in need of in my wardrobe.
• Yellow and blue striped shirt? No on all accounts. This was a major strike out for me and didn’t come close to fitting.
• The gray shorts were an athletic spandex type of material. Again, nothing wrong with them, but not something I needed.
• And the necklace? Well, if you’ve read any of my other reviews, you’ll know that I already have a lot of jewelry, and if I’m going to keep something from this company, it’s going to have to be a show stopper.

My Final Decision?

Ultimately, from this shipment I kept only the pink floral pencil skirt, which I still wear and love several months later.  I could not be happier with that purchase to this day. And, since I don’t expect to love every single item in each delivery, I would have to say this one was a win for me. 

I do have to put out a disclaimer here. The shirt I’m wearing with the pink floral skirt? The one with floral sleeves? Don’t you worry. That’s not a shirt I would actually wear with this skirt, it just happened to be the shirt I wore to work that day and didn’t bother to find something else before snapping photos. Lucky for me I already had a couple of shirts in my wardrobe that work with this skirt for when I actually wear it. If you’re going to keep an article from your shipment, don’t forget to think about what you have that will go with it!

Nadine West Review Month 6

At this point I was in the throws of decision as to whether I should continue my subscription or take a break. My 6th delivery arrived, and it was a huge miss. I did not like a single item in this order. Okay, well let me take that back. I do like the houndstooth pants, however they did not fit. The dress, much too short for my liking. The black shirt. Uhm, does that even come close to looking like I could fit in it? That’s a big no. And then well… jewelry. So, everything was shipped back, and I decided to take a break from my subscription for a while.

Jumping Back in with Nadine West

It’s now been 6-7 months since my last shipment, and I’m ready to give it a try again and see what comes out my experience this time around. I can tell you, every single time I receive that shiny pink package in the mail, I feel like an excited little child on Christmas morning. No matter what’s in the package, the expectation is one of the best parts. 

Here are my expectations and things I’ve learned as I jump back in this second time around.

• I don’t expect to love everything in every package – ever
• I’m not expecting a lot out of my very first month. I’m hoping to be pleasantly surprised, but I would guess I’ll have a new stylist who may need to learn my style from scratch. Here’s to hoping they’ll take a look at my reviews from my previous orders though!
• I will submit my reviews for each item as soon as possible so my stylist has time to see them before sending my next shipment out.
• If my first shipment or 2 has several items that are too small, I’ll change my settings and size up. I have a feeling several of the brands they use run small.
