Homemade Hot Fudge Sauce

Not too much preamble to share with you here, just the best homemade hot fudge sauce recipe you’ve ever had. This recipe is super simple, my go to as you may know, and super delicious. Thick, rich and creamy. Exactly what your mouth is looking for in the perfect hot fudge. And did I mention that it’s super easy to make? 

I got this recipe from a family friend included with my wedding gift. She makes this homemade hot fudge sauce, and it was just the best thing I’ve ever had, so for part of my wedding gift, she finally shared it with me. It makes a perfect ice cream topping. Use it as an icing, fruit dip, with peanut butter pie or in a trifle. Are you a lover of breakfast? Try it as a drizzled topping on french toast, pancakes or crepes.

Hot Fudge Sauce

Thick and creamy hot fudge sauce, just they way you want it.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 stick butter (or 1/2 cup)
  • 2/3 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 13 oz can evaporated milk
  • 2 cups powdered sugar

Method
 

  1. Put all four ingredients in pot on medium high and stir until boiling
  2. Boil for 10 minutes stirring occasionally
  3. Let cool and transfer to mason jar or desired container for storage
  4. Store in an air tight container in the fridge
  5. Warm desired amount in microwave for 10-30 seconds and top on ice cream or other dessert of choice
