I almost chose not to do a review this month. However, that wouldn’t be a true review for you if I only shared the positive reviews. And, I thought it might be strange if I had the Nadine West Month 2 Review and then skipped to month 4 without the Nadine West Month 3 Review.
As you can tell from my opening statement, this is not the greatest package. In fact, I did not like one item in my third package. And to make matters worse, I had a credit of $22 available that won’t roll over to my next package. I was planning to keep something this month even if I didn’t absolutely love it because I had the free credit available.
However, I disliked all my items so much, it didn’t even use the credit! The thought does float through your mind that you wonder if they did that intentionally. But, I like to give people and companies the benefit of the doubt. So I’m just going to believe it was by chance a total miss.
What about the fact that I had filled out my reviews on the previous packages? Does this mean my stylist isn’t paying any attention to my feedback? Well, I think I’ll have to wait for the next one to determine that. While I did leave reviews on my first 2 packages, my 3rd package was shipped out just 2 days after I left the reviews. So, I’m thinking it’s possible that the items were already chosen before I left my reviews.
Package #3
Now, on to the items in my package. This month, I don’t even have pictures of the clothes on me to share with you. That’s how bad this month was for me. Below you’ll see all the items I received. A black and white striped dress, green t-shirt, daisy polo, palazzo pants (mid-thigh), and a necklace.
Dress and Shirts
The dress was a cute pattern, definitely a pattern I would wear. But it was WAY to skin tight and WAY too short. The green t-shirt? Well, that was a big no the second I pulled it out. It is just a big square shirt. It’s a high-low shirt, but the front is way too high, and the proportions are just all off on this shirt.
The daisy polo was super soft, but that’s about the only thing I liked about it. I don’t love a daisy pattern on my clothes, and the fit was less than great. I wouldn’t say it was too small, but for me, it was just a fit that I do not like. That said, this was not a terrible shirt, just not for me.
Pants and Necklace
I thought I might like the palazzo pants, but when I put them on, they just didn’t do it for me. I think some people can pull off the shorter palazzo pants, and maybe I could with the right ones, but not with these. They were too big just under the waist and made that terrible pooch you do not want from a pair of pants.
And the necklace? Well, I did consider keeping it. There’s nothing wrong with it, but also nothing special. I have so much jewelry, it’s not something I would wear. With the credit, I considered keeping and using as a gift. However, even though I would have only had to pay $2-$3 above the free credit, I just couldn’t bring myself to spend $25 on this specific necklace. Silly not to get it for just $3? Maybe. But I think I was just so disappointed with the entire package. Back it goes!
Nadine West Month 3 Review
Even though this package was less than desirable, I’m not quite ready to give up. I had originally thought I would give it at least 6 months, and I think I’ll continue with that to see what comes of my packages. I did my review before I even returned the package this time, so I’m hoping that makes a difference for my fourth month.
On a Positive Note
It’s worth mentioning that there is one positive experience I had with this company. I received the package then went out of town for a few days. I had in my mind that the due date to return any unwanted items would be August 10th or near that. July 10th was the due date on the previous package, so that’s what I assumed. However, I did not look at the due date right away.
I went on a 4 day trip, came back, opened the package for the first time the following day, and say that the due date had already passed! Immediately I emailed Nadine West customer service explaining what I had thought because of the 4 week subscription I am signed up for, and is there anything they could do. The customer service rep responded to me within 24 hours (less I believe). She explained that they estimate about 5 days for the package to be in our hands and to try on before sending back. However, she kindly gave me an extension on the due date, so I had a couple extra days to try items on and make my return.
If you will recall, one thing I mentioned on my month 2 review was how some people had complained about being charged for the full package amount. After looking into it, this was because all of those people had returned their items after the return due date. This was completely my fault for not looking at the due date, but I DID NOT want to be charged for this package that I did not even like. I thought it was very helpful of them to extend the date when it was in fact my fault to begin with.
Another Chance for Nadine West
As mentioned, I will give this subscription a few more chances and see how it turns out. Even though this was a total miss, I’m looking forward to my next package already. I just can’t help myself!
