Are you looking for a little jump start to begin this new year? I know I am, and I have just the thing I need. I hope you will join me! I’d love to help you, to teach you and encourage you how to start a mourning routine. Maybe you already know how but you have a hard time being consistent and could use some accountability. That’s perfect! I’m doing a one-week Morning Routine Challenge in January to help ME and YOU start the year out right. Read on for some more details and thoughts behind this challenge.
This morning routine challenge is now over, but be on the lookout for more blog posts about how my morning routine is making a positive impact on my life.

All the successful people do it.
That’s what they say at least. Who “they” is, I’m not completely sure, but there are a lot of “they’s” that say it. And, many of them have research to back it up, so I’m gonna go with it. How many times have you heard that successful people all have a morning routine that they follow? Does that thought inspire you or intimidate you?
Yeah, I’m sure not every single successful person wakes up early or has a set routine to start their day. I’m sure there’s a few scattered here and there, but to be honest, it’s true that many of them live with a drive, a purpose. And for a lot of them that starts with a solid morning routine they follow.
But what if I don’t want to be the next “big thing” or famous person?
Maybe you do, maybe you don’t. And either option is perfectly fine! Whether you want to be the next Allie Casazza or Marie Forleo, or you want to be the best mommy you can be for your littles, this challenge is for you! A morning routine is oh so helpful and important whether you’re a stay-at-home mom, a full-time working mom or you run or have ambitions to run your own business.
A morning routine sets the tone for the day. It helps you focus on what’s important. It gives you a moment to catch your breath before diving into a non-stop day. A good morning routine helps you be the best you that you can be. Don’t we all have the desire to be the best wife we can be, the best mom we can be, the best entrepreneur we can be? Now, does a morning routine solve all of that for you? No. But, it is a good way to set you on the right path.

How do I know this challenge is for me?
If you find yourself saying any of the following things (to yourself or someone else), then this challenge is for you.
- I will start waking up early __________ (next week, in January, etc)
- I know a morning routine would help me, I just can’t seem to get motivated
- I’ve tried it before and gave up/it didn’t work
- I never even have time to take a shower! HELP!
- I never seem to be able to find time for myself, but I want to
- I’m tired of being frazzled every morning trying to get the kids ready and out the door
- The idea of a morning routine sounds great, but I don’t even know where to start
- I want to see my business grow
- I’d love to feel more at peace and joy throughout the day
- I want to start my own business (not even joking, this is a great way to kick start that dream!)
- I need to read my Bible more often/pray/meditate
If any of these statements describe you then this is for you. I promise it will help give you the jump start you need!

What do I have to commit to for this morning routine challenge?
You have to commit to 5 days. Just 5 days for this challenge, but hopefully a new routine that you can continue and follow from now on. Also, you have to commit to participate and make the best possible effort to implement the plan you set out (at least you’ll get those most out of it this way). Other than that, it’s up to you. There are no specific requirements as far as “you have to do x, y, and z”, or “everyone in the challenge will commit to wake up at (blank) am”. There will be time for you to come up with the best plan for YOU.
If you’re having the most trouble knowing how to start a morning routine and what plan is best for you, that’s okay, we’ll work on it together. Maybe you’ve tried in the past but bit off more than you could chew and gave up. We’ll help with that too! Perhaps you know exactly where you want to start, but you need some accountability along the way. I would love to be your cheer leader, and I know others would too! This challenge is going to help you get started and help motivate you to keep going. It will motivate you to make a real change in your life that will have a positive effect on every area of your life.
Okay I’m in! How do I join this morning routine challenge?
This live morning routine challenge is now closed, but you can start your own morning routine at any time. Catch me on Instagram to follow my journey and see how my new routine is working out for me!

I really needed this. Since 2020 approaching, I should challenge myself more! Especially if it’s about the morning routine, I’m always bad with that.
I’m not always the best either, that’s why I set up this challenge and am doing it myself! I would love to have you join us! Just sign up at the link above in my blog post. We start January 6th. This is a free challenge, and it’s only 5 days, so a great way to get a jump start, but it won’t take up too much of your time.
I would love to have you join the challenge! It’s just 5 days, it won’t take a lot of your time, and it may be just what you need to get a jump start on that morning routine! Use the link at the end of the post (or the beginning) to sign up and reserve your spot!
Love this advice! I kinda have a good morning routine, but some mornings are all over the place because every day is different. But I would love to establish more of a set routine!

I would love to have you join the challenge with us! It starts on January 6th, and you can sign up at the link above in the blog post.
We’d love to have you join the challenge if you’d like. Even if it’s just for the accountability aspect to do what you already know you want/need to do!
At this point in life is kind of difficult to have a morning routine, because all days are so different. I work some nights, and in the morning I just go to bed, no need any routine.
That can definitely be difficult! No matter what time you wake up, you can set yourself a little “morning routine” to get your day started, whether that’s 6 am or 3 pm!
I am a huge fan of the morning routine. For me what’s included changes often but always includes drinking lots of water and taking time for myself. I focus on different things depending on what I need more of in my life- lots of good ideas in this post. Thank you.
I agree it can change depending on your season in life and what your needs are.
Everyone always asks me how to become a morning person- Ill send them this!
I love having a routine place, especially a morning one! I think it gets me mentally ready to take on the day and look forward to accomplishing whatever I need to! And I agree, committing to a routine is hard, but doing something that makes it real, like telling friends, writing on social media, or joining your online challenge with you is a perfect way to stay dedicated!

Accountability from somewhere always helps!
Uh oh, looks like I missed the challenge. I hope it went well for everyone. I do wake up much earlier than my kids with the view of having a coffee in peace and getting a few things done- alone! Some days I feel great having done this. Other days I want to fall asleep again by 9am! It’s a work in progress 😉
