I have a quick and easy recipe for you today. Cream cheese stuffed crescent rolls. This recipe leans towards a sweet breakfast treat. Something to have at home for a special treat, or take to a brunch.
Just a quick back story into how this recipe came to be. Each year I have a few college girls that I mentor. One morning they were coming over to my house for a little while before they headed to class. I wanted to make a little something for them, but I didn’t have much available in my house, and I didn’t have time to whip up banana bread or anything that took a while to bake.

I looked in my fridge and saw the crescent rolls and knew I had a little cream cheese. So, I decided to give it a try, and see if we liked it. I didn’t even have time that morning to make it before they came, so when they arrived, I told them what we were going to try, and that I had never tried it before. We were just going to see how it went. We put the cream cheese in the crescent rolls, rolled them up, dipped in cinnamon and sugar mixture, and threw them in the oven.
And guess what? We LOVED them! Seriously, so delicious (and rich). A super yummy, super simple recipe. Through the rest of that year, it became our tradition every time they came over in the morning to have cream cheese stuffed crescent rolls. Give them a try the next time you host a brunch or want to do a little something special for a Saturday breakfast for the family.

Ingredients
Method
- Preheat oven as directed on crescent roll package.
- Open tube of crescent rolls, pull apart and set out individually, and fill with cream cheese. Exact amount is up to you as each crescent rolls varies is size somewhat. 1-2 tbsp of cream cheese per roll is good. Once filled, roll up the crescent rolls as you would normally.
- Mix together cinnamon and sugar in a bowl large enough to roll the crescents in. Exact amount of cinnamon is based on your own personal tastes. I prefer a more subtle cinnamon flavor and go for 1 tbsp, while some like the cinnamon to be more prominent.
- Roll each crescent roll in the cinnamon and sugar mixture to that all sides are covered and place on ungreased baking sheet. I prefer a Pampered Chef stone, but you can use any baking sheet you have.
- Bake rolls according to directions on crescent roll package. Usually 9-12 minutes
- Let cool for 5-10 minutes and serve! Best when served fresh and warm, but can also be eaten at room temperature.
- Store in sealed container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Reheat when ready to eat.
