Meal Planning Made Easy

Often times when I bring up the term “meal planning”, I get one of three responses.

1. “I’ve been meaning to start”
2. Induces a panic attack
3. “I love meal planning!”

    1. I’m a firm believer that it can help most anyone. You already hate to cook, and mostly likely you hate trying to decide what to cook, so that’s automatically 2 strikes against you when it comes to dinner time, but if you’ve made the decision about what to have ahead of time that at least makes things a little better. And if you don’t like to cook you can make your plan work around that. Choose days to cook when you know you’ll have plenty of time and not already be stressed by other things. Plan days you’ll eat out or oder in to give yourself a break from cooking. Plan a specific night for super easy mac and cheese or leftovers so you don’t have to cook that night either. Maybe try one of those meal kit delivery services. It might help you enjoy cooking more.

  1. I’m not good at meal planning, as I often lack time for that. I can see some benefits of doing that, co I may give meal planning a try this year! 🙂

The benefits of meal planning help encourage people but I’ve yet to start looking to do it myself. I like to choose what to make at a day’s notice or less as it depends on my available time.

  3. I’ve been trying to do more meal planning lately. I appreciate feeling more organized in the mornings and not having to “think” about what we are making later.

  4. One of this year’s resolutions is to do more meal planning. I have so many spices brought from my trips that I need to use. It also makes grocery shopping easier.

    1. Yes, planning ahead would definitely help you use all those amazing spices and you’ll get the right complimentary ingredients when you go shopping.
